Animated Drawings — Animate sketches with AI

Animated Drawings transforms hand-drawn sketches into digital character animations for creators and educators.

Animated Drawings is an AI-powered tool that transforms static hand-drawn sketches into fluid character animations. This platform is specifically designed for content creators, educators, and creative professionals who want to bring simple character drawings to life without manual frame-by-frame editing. By using motion-capture data, the system automatically identifies joint points on a human-like figure to apply realistic movement patterns. The process begins by uploading a photo of a drawing on white paper, which Animated Drawings then masks to isolate the character from the background. Users can manually refine the character's joints to ensure the animation rig aligns perfectly with the sketch's proportions. Once the rig is set, you can select from various motion categories including walking, jumping, and dancing to generate a downloadable video file. Business owners can use these animations to add a human touch to social media marketing or to create unique visual assets for educational presentations. The tool is frequently listed on surfai.app as a top choice for rapid character prototyping and creative storytelling. It provides a simple way to generate custom video content that stands out from standard stock graphics. Animated Drawings is currently available as a free-to-use research project provided by Meta AI Research. While there are no subscription costs for the basic web interface, it remains an essential utility for anyone needing quick, character-driven visual content.
