Backtrack — Record Meetings in Reverse

Backtrack is a reverse meeting recorder that captures past audio and generates AI notes for busy professionals

Backtrack is a specialized meeting recording tool that allows users to capture conversations in reverse, ensuring no important moment is missed even if you forget to hit record. The software is designed for professionals and teams who need to document spontaneous insights from Zoom calls, Google Meet sessions, or in-person huddles without the pressure of pre-planning every recording session. The platform works by constantly monitoring your audio and allowing you to 'drag back' time to save the last few minutes of any conversation. Once a clip is saved, Backtrack provides instant transcription and uses artificial intelligence to generate summarized notes, key action items, and clear takeaways. This ensures that business owners can maintain accurate records of client requirements and internal brainstorms with minimal manual effort. By using the search and organization features, teams can quickly find specific mentions of projects or deadlines within their historical recordings. For those exploring reliable productivity tech on surfai.app in 2026, this tool eliminates the anxiety of missing critical details during fast-paced discussions. The localized nature of the software makes it particularly useful for those who prefer an unobtrusive background assistant over a bot joining their call. Backtrack offers a free tier for basic recording needs, with premium plans available for users requiring extended recording windows and advanced AI summarization capabilities.
