Ello — AI Reading Coach for Young Learners

Ello is an AI-powered reading companion for children designed to improve literacy through real-time feedback and books

Ello is an AI-powered reading coach that provides personalized instruction for children between kindergarten and third grade. This tool is built specifically for parents and educators who need a reliable way to monitor and improve a child's reading fluency without requiring constant manual supervision. By listening to the child read aloud, Ello identifies struggles in real-time and provides verbal cues to help them decode difficult words. The platform uses proprietary Adaptive Learn technology to adjust the difficulty of materials based on how the reader progresses. This ensures that young learners are neither bored nor overwhelmed, maintaining a steady pace of development. Business-minded parents can track detailed progress metrics through the application to see exactly where improvements are occurring. On surfai.app, we focus on tools that provide quantifiable results, and this app delivers specific data on phonics and pronunciation accuracy. Ello replaces the need for expensive physical tutoring sessions by offering a digital alternative that feels like a game to the user. Its library includes hundreds of exclusive decodable e-books that are mapped to standard literacy milestones. The inclusion of a gamified reward system keeps children engaged for longer periods, which is essential for building long-term literacy habits. Parents can start with a free trial to evaluate the AI's accuracy before moving to a monthly subscription model for full access. The service also offers a physical book delivery option to bridge the gap between digital and traditional learning.
