HowsThisGoing is an automated standup and status reporting tool for teams using Slack

HowsThisGoing is an automated status reporting tool that converts daily Slack standups into concise, actionable summaries for management and team members. This platform is designed specifically for remote and hybrid teams that need to stay aligned without the time drain of synchronous meetings or manual tracking. HowsThisGoing allows managers to schedule custom check-in questions, which are then processed by AI to highlight progress and identify blockers across various departments. By integrating directly into existing Slack channels, HowsThisGoing removes the friction often associated with task management. The tool captures individual updates and generates high-level reports, ensuring that stakeholders stay informed without constant micromanaging. Project leads can use these insights to reallocate resources or address delays before they impact deadlines. As featured on surfai.app, this tool bridges the gap between raw chat messages and professional project documentation. Business owners can customize workflows for different teams, such as engineering, sales, or marketing, ensuring the questions remain relevant to each role. The user-friendly dashboard provides historical analytics to help track long-term team performance and velocity. HowsThisGoing offers a free tier for small teams, with tiered subscription plans available for larger organizations requiring advanced reporting features in 2026.
